Tom Howe serves as the Associate Director of Missions and the Director of Church Starting for Texas
Baptists. He has served in ministry 32 years, including as Pastor of churches Texas and Alabama. He has
worked at the Birmingham Baptist Association in Alabama. Tom and his wife Amy have been married 29
years and have three children. Julia and her husband Kyle live in Fort Worth, and have Tom and Amy’s
first grandson, Malachi. Rhett is a Sophomore in college and Grant is in the 10 th grade at Birdville High
School. Tom has graduated from East Texas Baptist University (B.S.), Samford University (M. Div.), and
Southwestern Seminary (D. Min.). He is passionate about missions, church starting, church restarting,
developing leaders, and serving churches and pastors.
